This week at Eagle Club we were busy making Mother's Day gifts! The kids did an amazing job! We also started making stepping stones! The kids have the option of taking them home or putting them in our special garden! We will have to finish up next week as the weather didn't want to cooperate with us on Tuesday! Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's!!! -Ms. Amelia
Can you believe its already May!! This year has flown by!! We were busy this week with Shadow drawings, bubbles and our egg experiment! We put a regular egg in a jar with white vinegar to see what would happen. It slowly broke down the shell until all that was left was a rubbery egg! The morning kids are trying another experiment where they put toothpaste on one of the eggs to see if it would protect it! We will find out next week!! And THANK YOU for all the staff appreciation gifts!! It was very thoughtful! -Ms. Amelia
This has been a busy month. The fifth graders got to ride the bus over to Maywood to see what Impact was all about. Everyone had a great time! Break at Apollo was a lot of fun and we all enjoyed the cruise theme and going on an argosy cruise to a stormy Blake Island. The formal dining with Hula dancers was awesome, especially when the kids got to learn to hula!
Our garden is in full bloom and the seeds that the kids have planted are really taking off. Some of our bulbs from last year are growing nice.
Ms. Harcourt has been here for several weeks now preparing the students for our family night on May 16th from 5-6. We look forward to seeing all our families and watching the students put on a performance!

We've had many friendly battles! -Ms. Amelia
Monday was national grilled cheese day! The kids enjoyed making their own sandwiches! The recipe for the best grilled cheese called for mayonnaise and the kids weren't sure about that!! A bunch of them tried it and LOVED IT!! We also did a lot of gardening! We started our Avocado seeds, planted our peas, tomatoes and sunflowers! They also made some pretty cool glow in the dark rocks for the garden as well! We ended the week with some astronaut ice cream and freeze dried mac n cheese! -Ms. Amelia
Eagle Club this week was full of fun! We had paper airplane races, bubble gum blowing contests and of course some gardening. The kids loved the bubble gum contest! They each had a bowl with one piece of bubble gum covered by whip cream! They had to find the gum using just there mouth and be the first one to blow a bubble! We also took our pea seeds from our sprout houses and planted them this week. The seeds were just starting to sprout so it was a perfect time to plant them! Next week we will be cleaning out our garden area behind the school so we can plant all our starts! -Ms. Amelia
Well did we have fun this week at Eagle Club! We had a few surprises this week! First we welcomed a new staff member Ms. Sydney!! She will be helping out Tuesday and Thursday's! She's a wonderful new edition to our team! Also we had a visit from one of our summer staff Ms. Emily (Chip) on Wednesday and Thursday! She came to give us an extra hand! And the kids were busy all week with slime, mini banana cream pies, water bead stress balls and of course our seed starts! They are starting to grow and the kids have done a wonderful job taking care of them! We also started our sprout houses so they could see what happens to a seed as it starts to grow! -Ms. Amelia
