This week we started Green Team @ Lion Club! We talked about the importance of keeping our campus clean for our e a r t h
and our community. The kiddos went around the whole school and picked up any garbage that they saw! I was so proud of them; they worked really hard to get every piece even if they had to go out of their way to get it!
Check out how full their bags were
by the end! Go Green Team!
Have a fabulous Mid-Winter Break!
Looking forward to The Winter Olympics

Hello Lion Club Families!
Wednesday was the last day of the month: The kids favorite day, when we announce our
Lion Award winners for the month & have our prize wall drawing!
We have some awesome kiddos; they work hard to earn tickets (to put into their favorite prize) throughout the month by going above and beyond the expectations, helping a friend out, etc!
There were some pretty awesome prizes for the month of January!
Check out our winners!!!
Congrats to HANNAH & JOANN, our Lion Award winners!
You guys are AWESOME!

So last month Ms Rachel did a Ninja Test with all the kids and they loved it. I mean why wouldn't they, the Lego Ninjago Movie is out and Ninja's are just plain cool. BUT! I wanted to see how many of them I could switch from loving Ninja's to Samurai. So just like Ms Rachel I designed a few challenges for the kids to try and complete so that they could feel like real Samurai.
After all this the kids tallied their scores and wrote them on a piece of paper that I printed them for them I will add up the scores and see if they passed.
If you would like to try the Balance test, which I think you should, video right below.
Have a good Weekend!
Good luck if you try and do this!
Welcome to 2018, Lion Club! We started out the year by exercising our responsibility in an activity called Adopt a Pet. Adopt a Pet comes from my days at Discovery Eagle Club and my Lion Clubbers loved it just as much as my Eagles did!
We had so much fun doing this activity that even the 3rd, 4th and 5th graders wanted to play- so we will be doing that in February!
So, Lately one of the kids got me into watching Jimmy Fallon. On his show he does a few different types of game such as Dance Battle. The purpose of this game is to choose a type of situation RANDOMLY and make up a dance that goes along with that situation.
Ex: You randomly draw "Putting on Skinny Jeans" you then must, when the music starts, try to put on Skinny Jeans while somehow turning it into a dance.
Now none of the kids wanted me to record them doing that (Because it was very brave of them already to go up there in front of their peers) BUT at the end when I had to leave they all started a Dance Circle and I was able to capture some of it!
This is such an easy game you can put together in a few minutes, and it's really a great way to cure some boredom. Here is an example of how you could play it.
Disclaimer: I am not telling the kids to watch Jimmy Fallon.
Our Kids, I'm going to say, were better dancers than these guys. So be proud of that.
Have a Good Weekend,
Until next time- Miss Rachel <3
Whats Goin On Ladies and Gents!?!
This week I decided to bring a game that I like to play with my friends to Lion Club.
This game is called Jackbox, its played with Phones, I-Pads, or computers. The game features various Mini-Games such as trivia and other fun stuff.
The kids loved it and asked to play it again. We played Jackbox 3 which features these games
Quiplash 2 (3-8 players)
Trivia Murder Party (1-8 Players)
Guesspionage (2-8 Players)
Tee K.O (3-8 Players
Fakin' It (3-6 Players)
The kids favorite was Quiplash so ill explain that,
Quiplash is a game where all players are sent a question on their device that they are using and answer it in the funniest way they can. Usually you get 2 to 3 questions depending on how many players you have. Once everyone has answered the questions the voting round begins. One by one the questions are shown on the screen and the answers that people gave were followed. Not knowing who gave which answer all the players vote on their favorite answer. Once everyone voted they then show who got the most votes and therefor the most points.
There is a Family Filter on all these games so if you are playing with your family please find this option when you start up the game
This game is available on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC
Have a Great Weekend!
