Mornings here at Rocket Club are pretty chill, almost as chill as an ice rink. Obviously though, we don't have a hockey rink, but we do have air hockey! Every morning, the first place the kiddos tend to rush to is the air hockey table. The kids are working on their mastery of the sport, while also learning how to be good sports with each other! I am anticipating that when air hockey becomes an official sport in the 2036 winter Olympics, rocket club will provide quite a few of the contenders!
Crush graham crackers, chop apples, overload with whipped cream and sprinkle some brown sugar! Sweet and simple :)

It's that time of year again! The NFL is back in full swing, and that means one thing, FANTASY FOOTBALL!! Things at Rocket Club will be a little different this year than in years past however. Every week, I will make a list of all the games to be played that week, and the kids will circle which team they think will win each game. For every correct guess kids will earn 10 points, and for every incorrect guess they will earn 0. Some weeks will be special weeks! This could mean a number of different things. Some weeks will be double point weeks, where a win will be worth 20 points, and some weeks will feature one "game of the week", which will be worth even more points than that! There is a standings board in the club room, that I will update weekly, so that kiddos can see what place they are in. Should be a fun season!

The kiddos took a big piece of foil, molded it to an egg shape, and then wrapped it in clay. They decorated their egg with their choice of jewels, rock glass, buttons and water color paint. We went through a whole container of clorox wipes after we cleaned up but you know what they... LET THEM BE MESSY :) This craft was a hit!

The kiddos picked leaves from the ground, placed them on their canvas, and painted around the leaf! I loved that we were able to do this activity outside!

Welcome to another school year! We are beyond excited to get this year going, and to get to know everyone! We want to start off the year by introducing ourselves to you!
Hello Rocket Club Families! I am full of excitement to be back at Apollo this year. My journey in the program began 3 short years ago after being home with my two girls (12yrs & 9yrs). That time with them certainly helped prepared me for the 135 kiddos that i now plan and entertain for. When I am not at Rocket club I enjoy camping in our trailer, riding quads, cooking/baking, watching football, watching my girls play soccer and painting some type of furniture. I am predicting a memorable year with your littles!!!! MS. LISA
Aloha! I am thrilled to be ROCKetING with your Apollo kiddos! I have been a part of the BASC program for 7 years! When I am not hanging out with your kiddos you can find me in the mountains with my fur baby, drinking PSL's from Starbucks, and watching football all Sunday long! If I could live anywhere it would be on the beach in Hawaii or in a log cabin in Colorado. Cheers to another great year :)
What's up Rockets!! I have been a part of the BASC program for 3 years, and this will be my first year at Apollo! Outside of Rocket Club, most of my time is spent coaching soccer at Newport High School, where I coach both the Boys and Girls team! Outside of soccer I love anything outdoors, whether it be hiking, or running obstacle course races like Tough Mudder! One fun fact about me is that I used to work at Disney World!!! Can't wait for a great school year!!!
Have a great weekend!
