Who doesn't like pizza? Well everyone at Impact loves pizza as much as I do! SO in honor of National Pizza day we had to celebrate it. Everyone got to make individual pizzas to eat or take home. They didn't last long, that's for sure! They turned out so good! Everyone in the building was sniffing them out!
Impact students had the opportunity to see how clay is made. They had so much fun mixing the ingredients together. The only down fall is how long it takes to mix the material. But the outcome is totally worth the wait!
The kids had selected an activity for the June Calendar, Ice Cream Sundaes! It was a yummy treat. They had to compete in several Minute-It-to Win-it relay races. The results of the race reflected how many toppings they got! It was so COOL!!
Thanks for everyone who joined us on these activities!
Impact tried Henna for the first time this year...and it was GREAT!!! It was awesome to see some of our students lead the activity one their own (with staff supervision of course). We saw some great designs. We look forward to doing this activity again in the summer!
Here at Maywood we like to have the best cooking clubs. Most of the students, my self included, LOVE BREAKFAST entrees. So this week we voted on homemade french toast. Throughout the week the kids were coming up with recipes and ingredients for the cooking club. They decided on whipped cream, jelly, and chocolate chips. They turned out awesome! French toast on a hot plate makes the kind! Topped with syrup! Well done everyone!
There is never a bad time to take a short slow mo clip even if it's a rainstorm! Thanks Dan for being brave an taking this video!!
