This week we got an excellent chance to combine science and art by making light-up circuit bugs. We started off by talking about how circuits work and how we could use copper wire to connect a battery to an LED light to turn on our light. Putting this knowledge to the use, we were able to make eyes light up on our bugs. We wrapped things up by using pipe cleaners to decorate our bugs. This activity took a lot of patience and problem solving to get our circuits to work, so kudos to our kids who stuck with it until the end.
Happy St. Patty's Day!
