Yesterday at Bear Club, the Club 54 kids got a chance to make a Stamped clay bowl. They started out by kneeing the clay to get all the air bubbles out. Then they shaped it into a ball so they could flatten it out into a slab. Once they had their slab flat enough they picked out stamps or doilies to use to create a pattern on the clay. When the design they wanted was on their clay they carefully put it on top of the paper bowl, and tapped it on the table to get the clay to settle in to the shape they wanted. Today we will be finishing them up by painting them in fun colors!
