Minion making was a success. Each kid was able to create a minion by coloring their popsicle stick with a sharpie; most minions are yellow but our Bear Cubs got creative and made purple, pink and other various colored minions. They then dressed/hot glued the minions with blue felt, picked out whatever color googly eye and drew on their minion’s mouth with a sharpie! The kids had a great time making their Bob, Stewart and Kevin’s & enjoyed playing with them after.
What better way to get in the Halloween mood than making silhouette paintings! I had a blast doing this craft and so did the kiddos. To start their eraser painting they had to decide what type of silhouette they wanted to make (ghost, witch, pumpkin, spider, bat, etc.). In order to make the silhouette they had to create a stencil by drawing their chosen item, cutting it out and taping it to a piece of cardstock paper. And finally the best part…each kiddo took an eraser, dipped it in the paint color they wanted and painted dots along the stencil. The final step was to take the stencil off and admire the silhouette they created! I received awesome feedback from the kids about this project. Looking forward to more Halloween crafts!
